The French Moto3 weekend kicks off with a delay of almost half an hour due to a red flag during an earlier session. Despite the wait, the Snipers Team riders hit the track full of energy: Riccardo Rossi quickly makes his mark, breaking into the top 5 in the opening laps, while Nicola Carraro stays slightly further back, focused on his own development.
The afternoon Practice sessions prove to be challenging. Rossi works on improving his times by joining a group of riders and using them as references to chase fast laps. Carraro, on the other hand, opts for a different approach, working solo to fine-tune his bike’s setup and familiarize himself with the track while not neglecting time attacks.
A red flag temporarily halts the session as both riders are making strides toward direct Q2 qualification. Upon resuming, Carraro continues refining his setup, though a yellow flag midway through the session slows his momentum. Meanwhile, Rossi struggles to find a consistent rhythm due to heavy traffic on the track but continues to make progress despite the challenges.

FP2 was used by the team to make some progress ahead of qualifying, focusing on the final details rather than pushing for time attacks.
In Q1, the two riders adopted very different strategies: Riccardo Rossi immediately utilized the full potential of his tires, returning to the box mid-session and finding his fastest lap on the very last attempt. Nicola Carraro, on the other hand, took a more risky but successful approach, staying on track for the entire session without changing tires and progressively improving to secure the fourth-fastest time and a spot in Q2.
During the Q2 session, Carraro adjusted his approach and made the most of the references on track, delivering an excellent lap in the final moments and securing a Top 10 starting position on the grid.

A challenging start for Nicola Carraro saw him lose several positions in the first sector after staying wide at the first corner. Despite this, he managed to maintain a solid pace in the opening laps, staying connected to the leading group. Riccardo Rossi, forced to serve a long-lap penalty early on, remained close to the pack and began his comeback from the back of the field.
Both riders kept a consistent pace throughout the Grand Prix, avoiding mistakes and managing the race effectively. Riccardo steadily climbed the standings lap by lap, while Nicola fought hard for positions in the points-scoring group, staying competitive within his pack.
In the closing stages, Rossi made further gains, finishing with four positions recovered despite his penalty. Carraro, for his part, executed decisive overtakes in the final laps, securing well-deserved points by the time the checkered flag waved.
Comments
Nicola Carraro was not satisfied, aware of his potential to fight further up the standings:
“It’s a shame because we could have been further ahead in this race—I expected more. The start wasn’t ideal, and the conditions were very different, which made it difficult for me to adapt. We weren’t too far from the leaders, but we lost a few tenths every lap, and we absolutely need to improve on this aspect. I want to thank the team for their hard work. We’re ready to come back stronger for the next race.”
Riccardo Rossi focuses on monday’s tests, aiming to work hard to regain his feeling:
“A challenging weekend, we faced difficulties that I can’t even explain. Let’s turn the page and focus on the tests we have here in Le Mans tomorrow. This will help us regain confidence and arrive at Silverstone fully prepared!”
